Review Phiston Technologies' documentation...
The Phiston MediaVisa Digial Media Sanitizer unit is capable of physically destroying many different digital storage devices such as Hard Drives (3.5" and 2.5" varieties), cell phones and a variety of other media. The MediaVise is designed to use the power of hydraulics with our patented Sanitizer Plate design to efficiently and quickly dispose of any data you don't want falling into the wrong hands. With a process time of just under a minute, your information and security is safe with your new MediaVise.
Feed Information:
The MediaVise is designed to be an industrial level Data Sanitizer. Because of this caution must always be taken when feeding in hard drives.
Hard Drives
To feed properly, place 1/4 of the hard drive into the feed slot (or until Hard Drive is being held by locking doors) and place your palm on the end of the exposed hard drive. Push down until the drive falls through the locking doors. At this time the MediaVise is ready to begin its operation.
Cell Phones and other bulky media
For Cellular phones and other bulky media, under 4" x 1" x 5.75", follow the same procedure as for Hard Drives. Please load only one cellular phone at a time into the sanitation slot. Loading more than one may overload the slot and cause unwanted results.
** Explosion Alert **
LI-ION Batteries commonly used in cellular phones may explode during a destruction operation. When able, please remove any battery from devices before inserting them into the MediaVise as a precaution.
** Safety Alert **
Always use caution when loading any items into the MediaVise. This device is made from Steel and may have sharp edges.

What sets the MediaVise? apart?
- Complete warping of the hard drive and all of its internals, including the storage platters.
- Machines that only "fold" hard drives actually leave a lot of the surface area on a platter intact. The more intact platters remain, the greater the possibility that data can be recovered from the drive through forensic methods. The MediaVise's patented crushing plates specifically targets the entirety of the platters, leaving them completely warped and unrecoverable.
- Many of the machines that "fold" or "punch" a hard drive deliver a relatively low amount of crushing force. The lower the crushing force, the more likely that the hard drive may not be completely warped. Currently, a machine cannot be found in the market that delivers more than 18,000 lbs. of force, except for the MediaVise. The MediaVise manages to deliver an astounding 40,000 lbs. of force to a hard drive, leaving it completely mangled and destroyed.
- The only hassle free automated system.
- All other destroyers in the market need "adapters" in order to complete their job. Users have to specially position their hard drives into these adapters in order commence the destruction process. The MediaVise was specifically designed to avoid special alignment or adapters. Users simply need to insert their media into the machine without any special positioning to worry about, and run the destruction process.
- In other machines, after each destroyed drive, users have to manually remove the drive from the adapter which sometimes means having to pry it out. This is an issue because destroyed hard drives can have sharp edges or broken materials that can cause injury to the user. The MediaVise was created with the user's safety in mind. With the MediaVise's collection drawer, no interaction is ever needed with the destroyed drives, thus keeping the user safe from potential injury.
- Almost every desktop size destroyer requires removing destroyed hard drives before destroying a second one. This quickly becomes a hassle and a waste of useful time. The MediaVise's collection drawer, however, allows a user to destroy several hard drives (7- 10 desktop hard drives) before having to worry about removal of destroyed media or disposal, thereby saving the user time while making the process easier.
- Unlike most of the other machines, the MediaVise's collection drawer catches all debris and particles. Ceramic platters from laptop hard drives and some desktop hard drives may require a messy cleanup on other devices. However, the MediaVise's collection drawer would eliminate this task, or any cleanup, completely.
- The NSA is currently testing the MediaVise for approval.
- If approved, the MediaVise will be the first hard drive destruction device to have the NSA seal.
